What is a spacer foam bra and does it work as a t-shirt bra?
Spacer foam is a breathable, three-dimensional fabric that's significantly lighter than traditional moulded foam — and in Marie Jo's new Avero spacer foam bra (launched Summer 2026), the result is something really special. It sits completely invisibly under even the lightest fabrics, keeps you cool in warmer weather, and still gives a smooth, rounded shape. If you've ever found moulded bras too warm or too heavy, spacer foam is worth trying. It's been one of our most talked-about new arrivals this season.
Can a lace bra work as a t-shirt bra?
It depends on the construction. Most lace bras aren't smooth enough — but the Aubade Rosessence is an exception. Despite being a lace-cup bra, the lace is so finely made and the cup so expertly shaped that it sits completely smoothly under t-shirts and fine knits. It's also cut in a plunge shape, making it one of our go-to recommendations for lower necklines. Why is the back size so important when choosing a t-shirt bra?
The back band does the majority of the work in any bra — but for a t-shirt bra it's especially critical, because a loose or riding-up band will create exactly the lumps and bumps you're trying to avoid. The band needs to be firm and level to give you the smooth silhouette a t-shirt demands. If you're wearing a 34 back and finding it loose, you may well be a 32 — or a 30. Do you stock t-shirt bras for larger cup sizes?
Yes — this is something we've always prioritised. Our t-shirt bra range runs from 30 to 38 back and A through H cup. Empreinte Cassiopee goes to an H cup, Marie Jo Avero reaches an F cup, and Prima Donna also offers excellent moulded options in larger cups. Finding a smooth, supportive t-shirt bra in a larger cup can be genuinely difficult on the high street — which is exactly why we've made it a focus.
