About Santibe Jewellery
In 2009, after enrolling at the University of Chile, Natalia, the creator of the brand, developed a passion for fashion and began selling handmade jewellery to family and friends while learning artisan techniques. By 2010, her jewellery achieved success, leading to the establishment of Màra Orfebreria, later renamed Sàntibé Bijoux. She moved from Santiago to Paris, and now the Sàntibé brand thrives with 30 artisans crafting jewellery in both Paris and Latin America!
Sàntibé uses South American artisanal crafting techniques, such as needle weaving and macramé. The coloured beads and crystals are handwoven together. Manual and ancestral, this technique, also called bead mosaic, is rarely used in Europe. This method was employed by Native American peoples for the creation of their jewellery. This craft requires a lot of time and patience (up to 6 hours of weaving for the largest pieces!).
